Mothers are amazing. They wear multiple hats every single day; and from one day to the next, Moms are chauffeurs, chefs, nurses…the list goes on and on. But Moms are role models every day.
Good behaviors are learned, and whether you know it or not, you influence your children’s habits. Children aren’t born with the knowledge that they need to brush their teeth and floss every night. Teaching good behaviors and the importance of dental health while children are young will play an essential role in the health of your children for years to come. After all, oral health is connected to overall health.
Leading by example can be difficult for busy parents, but when you place importance on dental health from a young age by cleaning your infant’s gums every night or by brushing your toddler’s teeth, you teach them that this behavior should continue into adulthood.
