I got the dreaded news from my dentist that it was time I pulled my wisdom teeth. Yes, I whined about it, yes I pouted about it, and yes I stupidly listened to friends horror stories of their wisdom teeth removal, blood splattering “Dexter style”, accidental cuts and how extremely traumatizing it was with their experience…
Dr McGann was my second opinion when doing my wisdom teeth extraction research and after my consultation I felt no need to look any further. My experience with Dr McGann and his staff was incredible! They have a stylish office in the building right next door to the hospital. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from my initial call, to my consultation, to my actual surgery day. At my consultation, Dr McGann pleasantly answered all my ridiculous questions and even went through all the risks and why certain ones would or would not effect me based on where the nerves were in my mouth. I really appreciate it when a doctor talks to me in a way I’ll understand and not some super secret Doctor code. 😀
Morning of surgery I was nervous. But they sat me down and talked me through it as they set up the anesthesia. They said I would start to feel sleepy as they prepped everything. I remembering starting to panic thinking “omg, I’m totally awake! They need to crank up the meds or I’m going to feel it or see it and be traumatized for life! I better say say someth…. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ” Yea that’s pretty much how it went down. hahaha
When I woke up they were briefing my fiance on what to expect again and then they wrapped me in a soft fleece blanket and sent me home with a care package! What service!!! I also appreciated the phone call from Dr McGann himself checking on me to make sure I was doing ok. I even got a thank you card from them later wishing me a speedy recovery with a Golden Spoon gift card!
I’m now on day 5 since they pulled my 4 wisdom teeth. Everything is healing nicely and went exactly as it was outlined for me. From beginning to end, this experience was the best I could possible ask for. I HIGHLY recommend Dr McGann!
