Mouths are Pretty Amazing
Every mouth is unique. The shape, size, and position of your teeth is unlike anyone else’s in the world. The shape and color of your lips are unique. And your tongue-print, just like your fingerprints, is one-of-a-kind. For all of these reasons and more, your smile 1 in 7.4 billion! Without our mouths, we wouldn’t be able to eat, taste, talk, sing, make silly faces…or most importantly, smile.

Recognize Someone Special
Every year, as part of National Smile Month, the Oral Health Foundation brings you the opportunity to give someone special in your life the recognition they deserve. Every week during National Smile Month, a winner is selected to receive a special prize from the Oral Health Foundation. All you have to do is nominate them and say why they deserve to win.
It could be someone who has done something fantastic in your community, a staff member who has gone above and beyond, or even a friend who simply puts a smile on your face. No matter what, we want to hear about anybody in your life that adds a little something special to your day each time you see them.
The best thing about the competition is that nominating someone special in your life couldn’t be easier!
How to Nominate A Smile
All you have to do is send a picture of your nominee along with a brief description of what makes them so special and why they deserve to be one of the faces of National Smile Month 2018.
The only requirement for the picture you send along with your nomination is that your nominee is smiling! Send entries to us via email at pr@dentalhealth.org or via social media at the official National Smile Month Facebook and Twitter pages using the hashtag, #NominateASmile.
